Skinny fat vs toned?

Updated: Nov 11, 2020

Hey Friends, following up on my last blog post fat loss vs weight loss. Let go a little bit deeper with that.

You can go a a crash diet yes and lose some pounds, but are you really going to create that body composition you really want? The answer is NO you will not sure the scale will be less but when you look into the mirror you are still going to be unhappy.

There is no secret to achieving that "toned look", no magic pill, just you putting in the hard work. I say hard because that is exactly what it is. If it was easy everyone would be doing it, right? Any woman can follow a restricted diet or eat every little for a few weeks, anyone can buy a at-home Ebook workout and stick to it for 21 days.

But to build a body that will last, a body that works for you, takes a different was of thinking and hard work with dedication.

Here are 3 tips I have for you that I have learned thought my own process.

  1. Eat enough protein. Losing fat without losing muscle requires you to protein to preserve you muscle mass. You need to eat 0.8-1.2g times your goal body weight of protein daily.

  2. Do NOT crash diet, this will put your body into starvation mode. This will leave you looking skinny fat, you body will want to metabolize your muscle because your body is looking energy and your muscle has that stored energy it is looking for.

  3. EAT YOUR CARBOHYDRATES. Carbs are a key macronutrient need to build muscle, building muscle is what gets your toned.

So if your still struggling start with small goals, for instance first get where your eating enough protein you can read my other blog post

What the Protein that will go more in-depth about protein.
